Spring Fundraiser

This spring, OSY had a fundraiser at Bellevue park, where various handmade sweets and lemonade were sold. OSY raised around $400 in sales, most of which is going to The Sophia Way.
Utkal Dibas

We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to showcase and present the rich culture of our state, Odisha, away from our home through dance, song, food, and beautiful art and jewelry at our fundraising station!
Ambassador Reception

Summer Fest

We had a wonderful time volunteering at the HTCC Summer Fest for the second year, raising funds for the Bothell Hindu Temple selling Gol Gappa, Jhal Mudhi, and Dahi Vada!
Farmer's Market Fundraiser
Saturday, July 20
Over summer break, we organized a fundraiser for The Sophia Way, our venue being the Issaquah Farmers’ Market. We set up a booth at which we sold handmade jewelry, paintings, and diyas! The majority of our products were crafted by OSY members and were inspired by our East-Indian roots.
Summer Annual Odia Picnic

We had a wonderful time at Flaming Geyser State Park in Auburn, WA, hanging out with new and old friends and playing Silly String tag, Spoon race, and Donut eating contest.
Dusshera Cultural Program

Organizing the Dusshera Cultural Program was an amazing experience and a great platform for our community to showcase their talents and cultural traditions!
Winter Fundraiser
Saturday, November 23
To finish off the year, we organized a fundraiser to earn funds for the board. We sold 15 handmade cards for $2 each. This fundraiser was a great way to end the 2019 year!
